How do we score?

Problems are ranked based upon a number of factors:

  1. Upvotes
  2. Downvotes
  3. Resolve votes
  4. Aging

Score mechanism

Your vote counts as

  • Upvote · +1 point

Confirms the problem is real and should stay visible. Each upvote raises the score by about one point.

  • Downvote · −1 point

Signals disagreement that this is a valid or important problem. Lowers the score by about one point.

  • Resolve · −10 points

Marks the issue as fixed or no longer relevant — equivalent to 10 downvotes. Use when the problem looks resolved so it drops in the list.

You can change your vote at any time; only your latest choice counts.

Aging

  • Older · reduces score

As a problem ages, its score gradually falls so fresher reports stay more visible.
